GoPro Hero12 – the official camera of fun.
The GoPro HERO12 Black sets new standards in ruggedness, form factor and versatility. GoPro’s flagship camera builds on the breakthrough performance of its predecessor. The newly developed power management system enables up to two times longer battery life. In addition, the HERO12 delivers stunning HDR (high dynamic range) video in 5.3K and 4K, support for Bluetooth audio devices including Apple AirPods, and improved HyperSmooth 6.0 video stabilisation, as well as a host of powerful new camera features for beginners and professionals.
New features of the HERO12 Black include the new Max Lens Mod 2.0, which delivers a unique 177-degree field of view in 4K at 60 frames per second. The Max Lens Mod 2.0 can capture videos and photos with three field of view settings: Max Wide, Max SuperView and the brand new immersive Max HyperView. The HERO12 Black’s extra-large 8:7 sensor enables perspectives that are 36% wider when shooting wide-screen video and 48% higher when shooting vertical video than with the HERO12 Black’s standard lens. These unrivalled wide-angle perspectives are ideal for immersive POV shots of your favourite sports and activities, through to gorgeous nature shots when travelling or on outdoor adventures with friends and family. The Max Lens Mod 2.0 features a lens that’s twice as scratch-resistant as its predecessor and a durable hydrophobic lens coating that repels water with ease.
The HERO12 Black offers a host of powerful new professional features that appeal to casual users thanks to its intuitive and practical design:
- Wireless audio support for Apple AirPods and other Bluetooth devices.
- GP-Log with recallable LUTs offer more control and colour correction during post-production.
- Wireless timecode sync of an unlimited number of HERO12 Black cameras makes it easy to edit together footage from multiple cameras in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier and other leading editing applications.
- Optimised encoding allows for smaller files without sacrificing image quality.
Casual users looking for the perfect blend of convenience and control will love the HERO12 Black’s updated user interface, which features simplified controls and a new vertical shooting mode that records video in 9:16 vertical aspect ratio while the camera is mounted horizontally. So you can share footage directly to social media. GoPro is also expanding its software offering with the introduction of the new Quik Desktop app, offering further benefits for GoPro subscribers. The Quik Desktop app is available exclusively to GoPro subscribers at no additional cost. The Quik Desktop app will be available for Mac users from 1 November, and then for Windows in summer 2024.
The HERO12 Black will be available at retailers worldwide from 13 September.
